Dan enjoys providing high quality dental treatment and putting patients who may be nervous when visiting the dentist at ease. Dan also has an interest in providing cosmetic dental treatment and has completed post graduate training that means he can offer teeth straightening and facial aesthetics (wrinkle reduction). He is also now fulled trained in Invisalign braces. Originally from Suffolk, Dan moved to the North East to study Dentistry in 2006 and qualified from Newcastle University in 2011.
After qualifying Dan worked in the nearby city of Sunderland at a highly respected practice where he gained large amounts of experience and knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. Dan continued to work as an associate in Sunderland for two more years before moving to Bath in 2014.
During Dan’s time studying he met his wife Leesa and in July 2014 Dan and Leesa got married just outside of Bristol at Priston Mill.
In his spare time Dan enjoys walking, mountain biking, drawing and spending time at home with his wife and pet cat called Tiger.

Frederico Ferreira LMD has graduated from Porto, Portugal, in 2005. Before coming to England, Frederico held a post at the University as a clinical assistant, working in both a private hospital and a private practice. Frederico has worked as a Clinical Support Manager for one of the largest Dental Corporates within the UK, where he has helped many other clinicians.
Currently Frederico works at Longwell Green Dental and Implant Clinic as a dentist with a keen interest in Endodontics, restoration of endodontically treated teeth and Microscope Dentistry.
He is also finishing his MSc in Endodontics at the prestigious King’s College London. Frederico is also a Key Opinion Leader, for the award winning German microscope brand CJOPTIK (for the UK). Frederico is a member of the British Endodontic Society (BES), the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), the British Academy of Microscope Dentistry (BAMD) and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED).
Frederico is a full Invisalign provider, and enjoys combining aligner therapy, with tooth whitening and cosmetic restorative treatment.

Paul is qualified in Dental Implants.
Paul has studied and trained in the UK and internally including Loma Linda University in Los Angeles - one of the most prestigious Dental Implant training centers in the world and is a graduate of the Kois center for advanced dental studies.
With the objective of providing the most up to date and predictable dental treatments, he achieved a Master's Degree in Restorative and Cosmetic Clinical Dentistry and has been awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Paul's knowledge of restorative dentistry provides a fundamental starting point for implant dentistry. He has taught oral surgery at the Bristol Dental Hospital, and now mentors dentists to restore and place dental implants, so they can provide predictable results for their patients.
Paul' says, 'knowledge and the use of up to date clinical techniques that are based on predictable results mean great outcomes for our patients, which will stand the test of time'.
Outside of dentistry Paul is a busy dad to his two children and enjoys cooking for the family. Paul is a keen sportsman he is an ex-rugby player however, is now reduced to supporting roles, he is a keen squash player and has a passion for skiing with his family.

Luisa originates from Portugal where she studied and graduated in dentistry in 2008. In 2009 Luisa moved to England and originally worked in a mixed NHS/private practice. Patient care and wellbeing is important to Luisa, and she decided to move into private dentistry to spend more time with each patient and ensure they have positive experiences.
Luisa enjoys every aspect of dentistry and has completed several postgraduate courses. Luisa also studied Nutrition which is a big passion of hers. Luisa has a holistic approach to dentistry, and is passionate about learning and developing new skills.
When not learning or studying you will find Luisa baking delicious healthy treats, travelling, enjoying the sunshine or playing with "Bernie" her 3 months old puppy.

Cornelius Krause of CK Dental graduated from one of the best dental schools in Germany. In his time in Germany, he worked with internationally renowned dentists to enhance his knowledge and practice of minimal-invasive dentistry as well as cosmetic dentistry.
His passion for the latest technology and its implication in day-to-day dentistry for the benefit of the patient could not entirely be satisfied until the opening of CK Dental where patients can now benefit from the latest technology together with his calm and gentle approach, vast experience and reassurance.

Steven was born in Barnstaple, a quiet town in North Devon before moving to Bristol where he obtained his dental qualification at the University of Bristol in 2013. His thirst for continual development and training has since gained him Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and he is currently enrolled on the 3-year part-time MSc Dental Implantology course at the University of Bristol. He has also become a certified Invisalign provider since 2016.
Steven is passionate and enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a particular interest in implants and cosmetic treatments, such as teeth whitening, veneers and white fillings. His empathetic and caring nature creates a relaxing atmosphere for his patients, and allows him to provide a consistently high standard of dental care to all his patients. He has used his fluency in Cantonese in a medical capacity, serving as the translator between the patient and the team. He is able to communicate to all ages and explain to the patients the course of treatment they require in a clear, understandable and concise way, as well as put anxious patients at ease.
Out of work Steven is very active, and enjoys playing golf and tennis. He is passionate about creating memories through his interests in photography and cinematography. He also enjoys spending time with his family in Devon.

Jessica obtained her BSc in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at Cardiff University, a leading centre for specialist medical study and research.
Helping patients maintain excellent oral health is part of Jessica’s role and they find her approach valuable. Enjoying the benefit of Jessica’s belief that her patients should be happy and relaxed during treatment. Jess approaches her work with diligence and integrity, always striving to deliver the best standard of care. She enjoys working closely with her patients to keep them fully informed about the options available and provide a gentle, relaxed approach to treatment.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys travelling, hiking, netball and socialising with friends.

I graduated from the University of Sheffield as a Dental Hygienist & Therapist in 2019 and have now moved back to my hometown of Bristol.
As well as my passion to help patients maintain excellent oral health, I enjoy aesthetic dentistry and helping patients to feel happy about their smile. I was also awarded the South Yorkshire Branch of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry Prize whilst at university.
In my spare time I love to travel and my next challenge is to learn to speak Spanish! I also love socialising with family and friends and getting out in the fresh air with my 2 dogs.

I'm Sophie, I am a full time time Dental Nurse and Longwell Green, I'm Implant trained and also head of procurement. I started nursing in 2012 in a busy NHS and private practice and qualified in 2014. I joined Portman in 2015 and you will usually find me working along side Daniel.
I joined fully private dentistry as it gave me more time to liaise with patients and be a part of more complex and cosmetic dental treatment. My favourite part of my job is working with the Implantologist and seeing the results orthodontic and prosthodontic work. Outside of work I enjoy keeping fit, spending time with my family and trying new restaurants.

I started working as a dental nurse in June 2012 and qualified in 2014 at a busy mixed NHS and private practice in Bristol. I began working at Longwell Green Dental Surgery in October 2015 and shortly after became the Infection Control Lead for the practice.
The main responsibility of this role is to oversee the Infection Control and complete regular clinical audits on the practice and clinicians to ensure we comply with necessary legislation to protect the patients and staff. I work along side the implantologist here at Longwell Green Dental Surgery and a dentist who works using microscopic dentistry. My favorite part of my job is assisting with dental implants and constructing complex treatment plans for patients in the practice.
In my spare time I love spending time with my husband, my french bulldog Murphy and the rest of my family. I also enjoy travelling to new places around the world and embracing the culture and local cuisine.

Originally from London where she trained and worked as a dental nurse for 5 years Christine moved to Bristol with her husband and young son where she had a daughter and concentrated on caring for her two children while volunteering in her local school and working with the children there.
In 1989 Christine returned to work part time in a specialist oral surgery and implant clinic in central Bristol. In 1997 she also joined an orthodontic practice working with the orthodontist which she continues to enjoy. In 2001 Christine passed her National Qualification in dental nursing at Bristol Dental hospital.
In 2002 she qualified in Dental Radiography at the university of the West of England and in 2007 she successfully passed and was calibrated in the use of the PAR index by Cardiff university.
In 2005 Christine joined Longwell Green Dental surgery where she enjoys working and using her experience in oral surgery, implants, orthodontics and dentistry to care for our patients she strives to make them less anxious and give them a positive experience.
In her free time Christine enjoys caring for her dogs, elderly mother, tending her allotment and garden and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Beth is the newest member of our team. Beth qualified as a dental nurse in 2015 and previously worked for a private practice, and a dental agency and she wanted to gain more experience working in different environments.
During her spare time Beth studies accountancy, and other interests includes skiing, walking and spending time with friends and family.

Shannon started her dental nursing career at the Bristol Dental Hospital in July 2017 and qualified in 2018, once she qualified Shannon began working at Longwell Green Dental and Implant Clinic in October 2018 which is currently work part time for the practice. You will find her working alongside Luisa in the practice.
She is currently gaining knowledge and experience within a private practice, and is also starting implant training within the year to gain more skills and post qualifications. Her favourite part of the job role is engaging with each patient and having the time to make them feel relax and reassured at the dentist.
In her spare time I enjoy spending with her family especially her nephews,socialising with friends and currently have a goal to travel the world and see places and different cultures.
My name is John and I have been working in the dental sector for the past since 1998. During this time I have worked in various dental practices and organisations working in different management roles.
I joined Longwell Green Dental & Implant Clinic in 2015 as a Practice Manager and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of helping develop the practice and helping enhance the whole patient experience.
In my own time I enjoy spending time with my family, socialising and enjoying sport and supporting my local football team.
I have worked at Longwell Green dental practice for over 4 years on a part time basis, working Thursday and Friday. I really enjoy the team work we have and everyone here is so friendly and helpful.
I enjoy welcoming and helping patients in my day to day role, and I love the many challenges that presents itself thorougout the day.
I am 1 of 4 Receptionists and joined the Reception Team in June 2017. Working with people is a passion of mine and I enjoy welcoming patients into the Practice and getting to know them. Although I have always worked within Customer Service, this is my first role in a Dental Practice and have loved learning about all aspects of general Dentistry.
When I am not at work, I love keeping fit, spending time with my Husband and 2 children and socialising with my friends.
I have worked at the Practice since October 2016 and work as part of the reception team. I currently work 3 days at the practice as I have a 3 year old son who I have sole care for.
I enjoy travel and regularly take visits to Spain to visit family & Friends. I love spending time with my little boy and my family and making the most of life. When I get the opportunity I also enjoy entertaining for my friends.
I’m Karen, I joined the Reception Team in July 2019. I am enjoying all the different aspects of dentistry after spending most of my working life in the Motor Trade. I have always found meeting and helping people to be very rewarding and it’s great to be working as part of such a friendly team.
Away from work I enjoy cooking, reading, travelling and going to the gym
I began work as a receptionist for Portman in 2015 after having my first child in 2014. I work part time with 3 other receptionists and thoroughly enjoy the regular interaction we have with our patients at the practice. I have also found it very interesting developing my knowledge of what general dentists and specialist practitioners can now offer to patients in the private sector. When I am not at work I care for my two children who are 5 and 18 months and love being a Mum to them. In my spare time I enjoy running and going to the gym and socialising with friends.
