Daniel Woricker

Dental Practitioner

Dan enjoys providing high quality dental treatment and putting patients who may be nervous when visiting the dentist at ease. Dan also has an interest in providing cosmetic dental treatment and has completed post graduate training that means he can offer tooth straightening and facial aesthetics (wrinkle reduction).Originally from Suffolk, Dan moved to the North East to study Dentistry in 2006 and qualified from Newcastle University in 2011.

After qualifying Dan worked in the nearby city of Sunderland at a highly respected practice where he gained large amounts of experience and knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. Dan continued to work as an associate in Sunderland for two more years before moving to Bath in 2014.

During Dan’s time studying he met his wife Leesa and in July 2014 Dan and Leesa got married just outside of Bristol at Priston Mill.

In his spare time Dan enjoys walking, mountain biking, drawing and spending time at home with his wife and pet cat called Tiger.

Fred Ferreira

Frederico comes from northern Portugal and graduated from a Porto University in 2005. Before moving to the UK, Fred held a clinical assistant post at the University’s Paediatric Department, as well as being a general dentist in a private hospital.

For the past 8 years Fred held, mainly in Bristol area, associate posts at mixed NHS/Private practices, inclusive becoming Clinical Support Manager mentoring other colleagues for a national corporate.

Frederico enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and regularly attends postgraduate courses. Fred has developed a special interest in microscope assisted dentistry (he is a member of British Academy of Microscope Dentistry) and a wide range of advanced cosmetic dentistry techniques including tooth whitening treatment. Fred is a certified provider of 6 Months Smiles, Inman Aligner and Clear Smile Aligner. He enjoys providing effective and comfortable Root Canal Therapy and bespoke denture solutions.

His passion for holistic care and looking ‘beyond the teeth’ has led him to further studies in acupuncture applied to dentistry, clinical hypnosis and homeopathy. Frederico loves caring for patients and their families, making anxious patients feel listened to and in good hands.

On his free time, Frederico enjoys reading, cinema and most of all, spending time with his wife and two children.

Romi Caruso

Dental Practitioner

Romi originates from Italy where she graduated in dentistry in 2008.  Romi began her professional career working in a private practice in Italy before deciding to move to England in 2009.

Upon moving to England, Romi originally lived and worked in Somerset for over 5 years in a mixed NHS/private practice before relocating to Bristol at the beginning of 2015.  Romi enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has gained valuable experience and skills and her priorities are providing high quality dentistry to make sure her patients feel comfortable and at ease.

Romi also has a keen interest in restorative dentistry and she attends regularly postgraduate courses to learn new techniques.

Luisa Costa

Luisa originates from Portugal where she studied and graduated in dentistry in 2008.  In 2009 Luisa moved to England and originally worked in a mixed NHS/private practice. Patient care and wellbeing is important to Luisa, and she decided to move into private dentistry to spend more time with each patient and ensure they have positive experiences.

Luisa enjoys every aspect of dentistry and has completed several postgraduate courses. Luisa also studied Nutrition which is a big passion of hers. Luisa has a holistic approach to dentistry, and is passionate about learning and developing new skills.

When not learning or studying you will find Luisa baking delicious healthy treats, travelling, enjoying the sunshine or playing with "Bernie" her 3 months old puppy.

Jessica Seton

Jessica obtained her BSc in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at Cardiff University, a leading centre for specialist medical study and research.

Helping patients maintain excellent oral health is part of Jessica’s role and they find her approach valuable. Enjoying the benefit of Jessica’s belief that her patients should be happy and relaxed during treatment. Jess approaches her work with diligence and integrity, always striving to deliver the best standard of care. She enjoys working closely with her patients to keep them fully informed about the options available and provide a gentle, relaxed approach to treatment.

Outside of work, Jess enjoys travelling, hiking, netball and socialising with friends.

Sophie Trowbridge

I'm Sophie, I am a full time time Dental Nurse and Longwell Green, I'm Implant trained and also head of procurement.  I started nursing in 2012 in a busy NHS and private practice and qualified in 2014.  I joined Portman in 2015 and you will usually find me working along side Daniel.

I joined fully private dentistry as it gave me more time to liaise with patients and be a part of more complex and cosmetic dental treatment.  My favourite part of my job is working with the Implantologist and seeing the results orthodontic and prosthodontic work.  Outside of work I enjoy keeping fit, spending time with my family and trying new restaurants.

Sophie Norcombe

Dental Nurse

I started working as a dental nurse in June 2012 and qualified in 2014 at a busy mixed NHS and private practice in Bristol.  I began working at Longwell Green Dental Surgery in October 2015 and shortly after became the Infection Control Lead for the practice.

The main responsibility of this role is to oversee the Infection Control and complete regular clinical audits on the practice and clinicians to ensure we comply with necessary legislation to protect the patients and staff.   I work along side the implantologist here at Longwell Green Dental Surgery and a dentist who works using microscopic dentistry.  My favorite part of my job is assisting with dental implants and constructing complex treatment plans for patients in the practice.

In my spare time I love spending time with my husband, my french bulldog Murphy and the rest of my family. I also enjoy travelling to new places around the world and embracing the culture and local cuisine.

Christine Wilson

Dental Nurse

Originally from London where she trained and worked as a dental nurse for 5 years Christine moved to Bristol with her husband and young son where she had a daughter and concentrated on caring for her two children while volunteering in her local school and working with the children there.

In 1989 Christine returned to work part time in a specialist oral surgery and implant clinic in central Bristol. In 1997 she also joined an orthodontic practice working with the orthodontist which she continues to enjoy. In 2001 Christine passed her National Qualification in dental nursing at Bristol Dental hospital.

In 2002 she qualified in Dental Radiography at the university of the West of England and in 2007 she successfully passed and was calibrated in the use of the PAR index by Cardiff university.

In 2005 Christine joined Longwell Green Dental surgery where she enjoys working and using her experience in oral surgery, implants, orthodontics and dentistry to care for our patients she strives to make them less anxious and give them a positive experience.

In her free time Christine enjoys caring for her dogs, elderly mother, tending her allotment and garden and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Hayley Cottle

I have worked in NHS dentistry for 15 years and spent 2 years working alongside the Bristol Orthodontics team. I joined the Longwell Green team in 2016.

I qualified in dental impression taking in 2014 and qualified in dental radiography in 2015.

I enjoy my role in the practice here as it allows more time to focus on helping the dentists and patients.

I share my time between nursing and bringing up my two children. My hobbies include keeping fit and walking my dog.

Rebecca Taylor

I have worked in dentistry for 15 years and qualified as a dental nurse in 2010. I joined Longwell Green in 2016 after many years in the NHS.

I divide my time between nursing and looking after my 2 children. My hobbies include swimming cooking and spending time with my family.

Bethany Cains

Beth is the newest member of our team.  Beth qualified as a dental nurse in 2015 and previously worked for a private practice, and a dental agency and she wanted to gain more experience working in different environments.

During her spare time Beth studies accountancy, and other interests includes skiing, walking and spending time with friends and family.

Valerie Giles


I have worked at Longwell Green dental practice for over 4 years on a part time basis, working Thursday and Friday. I really enjoy the team work we have and everyone here is so friendly and helpful.

I enjoy welcoming and helping patients in my day to day role, and I love the many challenges that presents itself thorougout the day.

Deborah Taylor


I joined Longwell Green Dental Practice in May 2017 and have worked here for the past 8 months.  I have been working in Administration/Reception roles for the past 16 years and really enjoy the job.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my Husband, my 3 children and my Dog. 
I also enjoy camping trips, fishing, socialising with Friends, spending time with my family also cinema trips and Yoga.

Sarah Shaw


I am 1 of 4 Receptionists and joined the Reception Team in June 2017.  Working with people is a passion of mine and I enjoy welcoming patients into the Practice and getting to know them.   Although I have always worked within Customer Service, this is my first role in a Dental Practice and have loved learning about all aspects of general Dentistry.

When I am not at work,  I love keeping fit, spending time with my Husband and 2 children and socialising with my friends.

Rachel Fudge


I have worked at the Practice since October 2016 and work as part of the reception team. I currently work 3 days at the practice as I have a 3 year old son who I have sole care for.

I enjoy travel and regularly take visits to Spain to visit family & Friends. I love spending time with my little boy and my family and making the most of life. When I get the opportunity I also enjoy entertaining for my friends.

Karen Fudge

Practice Manager

My name is Karen Fudge the Practice Manager for Longwell Green. I joined this practice in 2015 as a receptionist and then shortly afterwards was promoted to Head Receptionist. I thoroughly enjoyed this role, and like having contact with patients and making anyone who may be nervous, feel at ease.

I have since progressed becoming the Deputy Practice Manager for the practice in which I found extremely rewarding and now I am Practice Manager. 

In my personal time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching team sports with my children and whilst at home I enjoy baking and horse riding.
